The corporate office had no real time data or visibility of inventory in the stores and the supply planning, inventory, planogram replenishment processes were inefficient and severely impacting the bottom line.
Data was in various disparate systems and also users had created various access databases that became the record of source and was used to make key planning decisions. Executive management approved a program that included business reengineering, custom technology development and reporting and rollout.
We provided Program management support all the project activities for the program. We developed and completed all individual project work plans and project charters, weekly status report for the CIO and managed all program financials and mitigated al program risks
What We Accomplished
We translated all business and functional requirements into technical requirements for the software development phase. We also facilitated the prototype construction to validate business requirements prior to development and delivered custom java application interfacing with legacy retail application. In addition, data sources were identified, and migrated to a new Teradata warehouse; new business metrics were defined and created. All user generated metrics used for reporting were also validated and migrated, while user generated databases and reports were decommissioned
