Global Food Company: Post Merger Integration (Change Management)

 

Business Challenges

The client just completed the divestiture of some of its brands and needed consulting assistance with implementing a new procurement process and driving change management strategies to prepare for day one.

 

Approach & Recommendation

We collaborated with the client to develop an alternate procurement process to minimize disruption on day one. We also worked with all of their key product vendors to make sure that all punch out catalogs, user accessibilities, and prices reflected the new contract for all products. We engaged with suppliers to ensure punch-out catalogs were ready for “go-live.”

 

Results

We successfully drove and implemented an alternate solution to the current procurement process and the day one (post-merger) process to enable the divested company to obtain indirect goods and services with minimal business disruption. Furthermore, we also developed and finalized training materials for the new indirect procurement process for the new business entity and delivered SAP Purchase Order training sessions to approximately 400 impacted stakeholders, detailing the key process changes/impacts, enabling tools, migration, and transition activities.
