Global Pharmaceutical Company: Global Supply Chain Strategy Assessment
Business Challenges
A global company with three global lines of business had grown by using the acquisition strategy. Over the years, its underlying ERP application was a hodgepodge of various instances of SAP. This created issues with strategic planning, visibility, and transparency. Furthermore, maintenance costs were increasing yearly while the applications were becoming increasingly inefficient.
Our Approach
We performed a current state assessment and defined the future state for the global Procure to Pay (P2P) and quality processes globally across brands/franchise for the transformational program.
What We Accomplished
We conducted executive interviews to document the global process across the major business entities around the globe. We also facilitated workshops with key executives, business stakeholders, and directors to define the future state vision and developed a road map for a transformation program. We presented recommendations for SAP application consolidation, upgrade, and rollout.
